Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how ViralHunt, operated by ViralHunt.io ("ViralHunt", "we", "us"), collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website and the ViralHunt service (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — name, email, organization details, and role, provided when you sign up or are added to an organization.
- Billing information — handled by our payment processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal). We receive limited details such as plan, status, and the last digits of your card; we do not store full card numbers.
- Content you create — the posts you save, board cards, comments, notes, prompts, and AI-generated drafts within your organization.
- Usage data — log data, device and browser information, and how you interact with the Service, used to operate and improve it.
- Marketing email — if you submit your email on our pricing page, we store it to contact you about ViralHunt.
- Third-party public content — the Service aggregates publicly available content and engagement metrics from social platforms and RSS feeds; this is public data about posts, not private information about you.
2. How we use your information
- To provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service;
- To process subscriptions, trials, and payments;
- To communicate with you about your account, support requests, and updates;
- With your consent, to send marketing about ViralHunt (you can opt out at any time);
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
3. Cookies & analytics
We use a small number of cookies, including a language-preference cookie and authentication cookies that keep you signed in. We use privacy-friendly analytics (Microsoft Clarity) to understand aggregate usage and improve the site. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that help us run the Service — hosting, our membership/billing system (aMember), payment processors (Stripe, PayPal), and analytics (Microsoft Clarity) — under obligations to protect it;
- Your organization — content and activity within an organization are visible to other members of that organization;
- Legal reasons — when required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the Service.
5. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You can request deletion of your account data as described below.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g., under GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email support@viralhunt.io. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and hashed storage of API tokens. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
11. Contact
