Bluesky: images over 2 MB are sent as a lighter copy, and a network that refused a post is never shown as published
Bluesky takes images up to 2 MB. A rendered design in PNG often weighs a little more, Bluesky refused it, and the post still showed as published with nothing behind it. Now every image is fitted to each network before sending (a lighter JPEG copy where the ceiling asks for it), and a refusal by any network shows as partial with the network's own reason and a notification.
Fitted per network. Bluesky 2 MB, X 5 MB, Threads 8 MB, LinkedIn 10 MB. The original still goes to the networks that accept it.
Honest status. PostProxy processing a request is not the network publishing it. A refusal now wins over the green word, with the reason kept on the post.
One line per call. Every request to the publishing service is logged, so "it says published" can be checked against what really came back.
It insists, then it tells you. A failure that looks temporary (the publishing service could not process a video, a 503, a timeout) is retried up to three times, ten to thirty minutes apart, while the post is fresh. When the retries are spent, or the reason is final (a dead connection, a refused text), you get a push and an email with the network's own words and the button that fixes it.
