Tumblr has a corpus now, and a public archive by year

Tumblr sat in the menu with nothing behind it: the page searched Tumblr live and kept nothing. It now reads our own store, which grows every two hours and re-reads saved posts so their note counts move, and there is a public archive of the most-noted posts by year.

For a year the Tumblr page was a search box that asked Tumblr's API on every visit and forgot the answer. No history, no trends, nothing to sort. It is a real network now.

Tumblr posts carry one metric, notes, which is likes, reblogs and replies already summed. There are no separate comment or share columns because Tumblr does not publish them, and we will not invent them.
